Lonely Here At Christmas

About Dorie Dupin

My musical journey began at a young age listening to my father sing and play guitar in his country band. That passion for music lead me to become the drummer in my father’s band. We played several years performing at local events throughout Southern California. I have alway liked writing and now use a lot of my old memoirs to produce into songs. I later learned to play the tin whistle and bodhrán due to my love of Celtic music.  (No, I’m not real good but I enjoy it!)

My musical influences are vast as I love all genre of music. Immediate influences are Eric Clapton, Mary Black, The Pogues, Flogging Molly, Roberta Flack, and one of my favorite rock groups, The Scorpions. I am very fond of Celtic music with its ethereal and enchanting sound, the smooth vocals of R&B and the story telling of country.   I don’t limit or label myself  to any single genre. Always been a rebel…

2024 proved to be another journey, collaborating with the  talented, Deby Kelley. With mechanical rights and our own original music composition, we recorded the classic song, The Rose, which offers a fusion of Celtic/Folk/Americana.

Deby and I are currently working on additional songs. We released a Christmas album which is titled after one of my own original songs, “Lonely Here At Christmas Time”.

2026 will be a fun year for me as I plan on Deby and myself recording many of my original songs that are long overdue to be heard.

I plan to continue to travel and sing wherever I go.  Enjoy what you do, reach for the stars and never give up, life is too short…
